Introduction
This site is not intended for commercial or entertainment purposes. It has been created solely for the purpose of communication to the scouts and parents of Troop 152. Consequently, the leadership of the troop recognizes the responsibility to protect the privacy of the site members as well as the troop scouts and parents. In the creation and dissemination of information on the site, reasonable and best practices will be followed to protect the privacy of the site members. Therefore the troop leadership and site administration personnel will adhere to the following privacy policy.
Limitation of Access
The most comprehensive method to control access to information is to prevent access to unauthorized parties. This site is designed to limit that access via the following controls:
- Limiting the information viewable by the general public to only that information available on the home page of the site.
- Providing access to troop members and parents via an approval process that enables a unique site login, protected by a password entry.
- Providing occasional temporary access to approved site visitors (such as potential new members, troop sponsorship, and others as deemed appropriate by the troop leadership) via an approval process that enables a temporary site login protected by a password entry.
- Provide the ability for troop leadership or site administration to block access for any login(s) which may represent a breach or compromise of security to the site or violate the Terms of Use Policy for the site.
- Limiting the creation and editing of site content to adult troop leadership and web site administration personnel.
- Allowing any account owner to edit or remove certain Personal information within the account profile at will – except data fields that are the minimum required for a site account.
Information We Collect
It is necessary to collect certain Personal Information for this web site for the following purposes:
- The enforcement of the access control for those requesting access to the site.
- The general administration of certain and appropriate aspects of the troop’s business, scheduling, and communications that are effectively made possible by the site.
- The maintenance and administration of email lists within the site for the sole purpose of communications to scouts or parents.
This Personal information could include information not generally available to the public such as:
- The Names, physical Address, Email Addresses, and Phone Numbers of parents
- The Names or Email Address of scouts
- Ages and school year of scouts
Information We Will Not Collect
This site will not collect, store, or publish the following information:
- Social Security #’s
- Driver’s license #’s
- Financial information
- Credit card / debit card account #’s.
Information We May Provide to Others
Troop leadership or site administration personnel will adhere to the following restrictions regarding the use of Personal information:
There shall be no dissemination of Personal Information as described above to third parties for any commercial purposes.
The site may disseminate Personal Information considered necessary for the general administration of certain and appropriate aspects of the troop’s business, scheduling, and communications with the same discretion that such information would have been supplied through other methods before this web site was created.
Personal information (beyond names) should not be displayed in any area that does not require login access.
Under certain circumstances, some scouts will be given the ability to communicate via email with each other through the site’s email list features. Each of these lists will include adult leaders so that all communication can be monitored. Parents will be able to monitor these communications by limiting scout accounts to use parental email accounts.
Site Terms of Use Policy
Membership on this site is considered a privilege. Membership to the site is contingent upon the adherence to the following terms of use. Any member, who does not wish to accept these terms of use, may ask to have his/her account deleted. Violation of any terms of use of this site can result in the removal of access for the offender. These violations include, but are not limited to:
Providing username and passwords to anyone outside your immediate family, except as authorized by troop leadership, is prohibited.
Using the site’s email features to send emails not pertaining to the troop’s business, scheduling, and communications is prohibited.
The use of any content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, obscene, unlawful, defamatory, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, or not representative of the Scout Law is prohibited.
Any attempt to conceal the identity or in any way disguise the identity of the sender of an email to any site members/

Limitation of Liability
This site domain name and content are the property of Troop 152 in Westfield, IN. All content authors and site administration personnel and monitors are volunteers who have devoted their time to the cause of the Boy Scouts of America as it pertains to Troop 152. The site architecture and many of its features are provided by a commercial enterprise named TroopTrack.
Site membership is a choice. As with any website requiring a login, some risks are not easily controlled. TroopTrack, Troop 152, or the troop leadership cannot guarantee the complete security of information from unauthorized site logins or hackers. Under no circumstances will TroopTrack or the Troop be liable in any way for any content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any Content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via the site. The limitation of liability in any such case shall be to remove access to the offender. In the event any placement of Personal information in the public portion of the site, the limitation of liability will be to remove the personally identifying information immediately upon notification of its discovery.
